Meet Our Lakeville Family Dentists

Chad Nelson, D.D.S.

Dr. Chad Nelson grew up in Madison, WI. He attended the University of St. Thomas, where he majored in biology and played varsity soccer. In May 2007, Dr. Nelson graduated for the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry with distinction and soon after joined Lakeville Family Dental as a general dentist. Dr. Nelson makes it a priority to frequently attend dental continuing education courses as he strives to provide the highest quality dental care to his patients. Dr. Nelson is an active Spear Study Club member and has attended advanced training courses in Cerec dentistry (same day crowns). Consistent with his commitment to continuing dental education, Dr. Nelson has served a term on the University Of Minnesota School Of Dentistry Continuing Dental Education Advisory Committee. For the past several years, Dr. Nelson has served as a mentor and guest lecturer for The Minnesota Center For Advanced Professional Studies (MNCAPS), helping high school students with interests in health care careers.

Dr. Nelson believes his patients deserve the best dental care possible, so he works hard to improve his dental skills and knowledge with his patients in mind. He believes patients deserve to know why dental care recommendations are made, so patients can be empowered to make the right decisions for their dental health. He can’t wait to meet you and your family!

In his free time, Dr. Nelson enjoys spending time with family, biking, hiking, reading, traveling, golfing, cultivating a new mushroom foraging hobby and attending his daughter’s sporting events.

Matt Schneider, D.D.S.

Dr. Matt Schneider enjoys connecting with patients and helping them to make informed decisions about their oral health. He earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Minnesota in 2008 and graduated with distinction from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2012. He was also selected to the National Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon during his time in dental school. Upon graduation, he spent a year at the University of Missouri-Kansas City completing his General Dentistry Residency where he received advanced training in prosthetics, oral surgery, implant dentistry and comprehensive dental care. Dr. Schneider is a member of the Spear Study Club and has completed further training in dentistry including the delivery of same-day crowns.

Dr. Schneider enjoys volunteering as a mentor to high school students participating in the Minnesota Center for Advanced Professional Studies (MNCAPS). He has also mentored numerous college students looking to join the dental field- some of whom are dentists today!

When he’s not in the office, Dr. Schneider enjoys being outdoors and embracing the different activities of each season in Minnesota with his family and friends.

Gary Jenos, D.D.S.

Dr. Gary G. Jenos helped found Lakeville Family Dental Centre in 1986 with Karl S. Hedin. They are doctors who wanted to make a difference in the Dental practice.

Through the years Gary G. Jenos has maintained strict ideas and treatment philosophies while adding very select doctors and staff. Gary G.

Jenos has turned Lakeville Family Dental Centre into one of the area’s premier dental facilities with in-house specialties that include; orthodontics, Prosthodontics and TMJ.

Amanda De Los Rios, D.D.S.

Amanda De Los Rios grew up in Plymouth, MN. Amanda attended college at the University of Minnesota, Morris, earning a Bachelor of Arts in biology and Spanish. Having always wanted to be a dentist, Amanda fulfilled her dream and graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry with distinction and as a member of the National Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon.

Amanda enjoys treating patients of all ages and hopes to help people on their path to a healthy smile, wherever they begin.

Some of Amanda's favorite activities include baking, weekends at her parents’ cabin, and spending time with her family.

Riley Schulz, D.D.S.

Dr. Riley Schulz was born in Ashland, Wisconsin, and moved to Albert Lea, Minnesota when she was young. She grew up in southern Minnesota and moved to Minneapolis to attend the University of Minnesota. Riley graduated with a bachelor's degree in 2018. She continued at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and graduated May (2023).

Riley currently lives in Minneapolis with her partner, Jackson, and their two adorable cats.

Dr. Schulz is passionate about helping her patients achieve and maintain excellent oral health. She strives to create a warm and welcoming environment where everyone can feel comfortable discussing their dental needs. Dr. Schulz believes that building long-term and trusting relationships with patients is the key to providing the best possible care.

In her free time, Riley loves spending moments with family and friends. She enjoys many hobbies and activities such as drawing, reading, hiking, snowshoeing, swimming, and camping. She and Jackson hope to visit all of the U.S. National Parks in the future! You can find Riley training and competing with the Minnesota tug of war team, “DJ's”, based right here in Lakeville.

Lauren Lizardo, D.D.S.

Dr. Lauren Lizardo grew up in Chanhassen, MN. She initially attended Duke University in Durham, NC. After deciding she wanted to pursue a career in dentistry, she transferred to Drake University in Des Moines, IA where she earned her BS in Biology and then graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry with her DDS degree. During dental school, Lauren was a recipient of the competitive NHSC Scholarship. As a part of this program, Dr. Lizardo spent time practicing in a dental public health setting in both Harrisonburg, Virginia and Martinsburg, West Virginia.

Lauren is happy to have returned home to Minnesota with her husband, Will, and daughter, Anja. In her free time, Dr. Lizardo enjoys hiking, reading, seeing new places, and spending time with family and friends. The Lizardo family hopes to someday visit all the US National Parks and US Capitol buildings.

Dr. Lizardo is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), American Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Association, and Special Care Dental Association. While in dental school, Lauren was the recipient of the Tom Grams Memorial Reward for her involvement with AGD. She is designated as a “Disabilities Dentistry Clinician Expert” by Penn Dental Medicine. Dr. Lizardo is passionate about continuing education and continuously improving her skills to provide better care for her patients. Her special interests include working with pediatric patients, patients with special needs, and those with dental anxiety.
