Specializes in orthodontics here at Lakeville Family Dental Centre. After graduating from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry he completed a general Practice Residency Program in Burlington, Vermont, which involved more extensive traveling, in oral surgery periodontics, and endodontics. He then practiced general dentistry for three years before returning to the University of Minnesota to complete his two year orthodontic specialty certificate in 1982.

Since that time he has limited his practice to orthodontics (braces) only. Here at Lakeville Family Dental Centre we offer all types of orthodontic treatment including standard braces, clear or ceramic braces, and Invisalign retainer treatment for children and adults.

Dr. Carpenter maintains a practice in St Paul and River Falls, WI in addition to our Lakeville office. He keeps up to date with his education by attending lectures, orthodontic society meetings and is a member of the University of Minnesota Gold Orthodontic Study Club.

Dr. Carpenter resides in Eagan with his wife Colleen and dog Rambo. His grown son Ryan is engaged in the business word and his daughter Meagan attends the University of Minnesota. Skiing and jogging have been activities Dr. Carpenter has enjoyed, and he maintains a salt water aquarium as a hobby. At one time he had as many as eight sea horses to watch over.
